iOS5: love it or hate it?

Everyone had been waiting for Apple Inc. to release it's newest software update along with it's new Iphone. Most were disappointed though when that day came as there was no Iphone 5 rather just a 4S which didn't really seem to have much of difference with its predecessor. Then, Apple's long time CEO, Steve Jobs passed away and I really think it helped with the Iphone 4S launch and sales. People actually stopped whining about the 4S and became rather excited to get one in their hands. Iphone 4S came with its new iOS5 and a new feature which is exclusively available for the said device -SIRI.

But other than SIRI, which is not available when you upgrade your Ipod, Iphone, or Ipad, what is there with this new baby iOS that Apple has been flaunting? What is there to love or hate about iOS5?

I got my Ipad 2 about three months ago. Obviously, it did not come with iOS5 but with the latest iOS4 update. It was pretty cool then but when iOS5 came I was more excited to upgrade. No thinking twice since I did not get to jailbreak my device before. After several tries of downloading the update, I finally was able to install my new iOS. I was pretty amazed on how the installation went. It was my first Apple device and update so I was pretty overwhelmed with it. I loved the iCloud and Find my iPad installation. And, when it finally completed and booted, my iPad looked pretty good. I was just a bit sad that the iPod changed to Music. I loved the iPod name before. 200+ features. Isn't that amazing? The swipe functions are incredible too. Swipe down for notifications. Swipe with four or five fingers to switch apps. Pinch with four or five fingers to return home. I know these have been featured in other blogs but I can say it's much different when you're actually using it. The camera app seemed to have an improvement as well.

All in all, I'm loving the new look. I have yet to discover other features. It will be totally cool if Siri will be available.
